The DANNY McCRUM BAND have built an extraordinary resume, playing a wide range of shows and working with a long list of impressive people. Danny McCrum is joined by bassist Matt Harvey, drummer Glen Child and guitarist Ben Jurisich. The band has just released their debut album 'Awake & Restless' nationwide, through Elite Music.

For the last year Danny McCrum and Ben Jurisich have been stunning audiences all over the country with their duo show, including the two very successful nights supporting Bryan Ferry and Joan Armatrading in December. Crossing all musical boundaries and breaking many musical rules, the show is unpredictable and always exciting. After pressure from friends and fans, they have finally recorded their first duo CD. This EP is like no other.

On December 3rd and 4th Danny McCrum and Ben Jurisich opened for Bryan Ferry and Joan Armatrading at the Logan Campbell Centre in Auckland, to rave reviews. They played a hard hitting thirty minute set which included songs from their new album and a surprisingly original version of 'Ain't no Sunshine'. Even journalist Graham Reid was impressed with the enthusiastic reaction they got, which is hard to achieve as a support act.
