The band will be releasing their second album 'Say What You Mean' in October this year. They have said the new album will have the strong melodic and groove sensibilities the band are known for, but will be heavier, with more attitude and a fresh new sound.

Danny McCrum Band's debut album 'Awake & Restless' was released on November 10th 2007 and is available nationwide in leading music stores.

'THESE DIRTY DAYS'
In 2007 & 2008 Danny McCrum and Ben Jurisich stunned audiences all over the country with their duo show, including the two very successful nights supporting Bryan Ferry and Joan Armatrading in December. Crossing all musical boundaries and breaking many musical rules, the show was unpredictable and always exciting. After pressure from friends and fans, they recorded their duo CD These Dirsty Days. This EP is like no other.

"...a rock band with unexpected twists. Driven by joint guitar mastery, which means lead and rhythm roles can be swapped at will, it rocks along... undemanding, soulful rock and blues, but with a healthy quotient of pop and even the odd jazz sensibility."

Richard Thorne
NZ Musician Magazine

"...smart pop-rock album from an Auckland singer-songwriter and his tight, crackling band..."

Graham Reid
www.elsewhere.co.nz & The Herald

"After listening endlessly to your superb album - I've gotta say that lyrically, musically , technically it is one of the best CD's that I have heard in a long time..."

Melanie Brown
The Country Radio Network

"Danny McCrum's voice is faultless....he nails every song."

Waikato Times

"Make no mistake, I’m anything but a big fan of New Zealand music. For the most part, it strikes me as dull, uninspiring and downright boring, to be blunt, but there are a couple of exceptions - the bulk of the work produced by Dave Dobbyn, Neil and Tim Finn in their various guises (Split Enz, Crowded House), and Bo Runga (Stellar*) invariably oozes quality musicianship from highly accomplished practitioners of their craft.

Expect The Danny McCrum Band to join that elite list sooner rather than later, on the evidence of this performance. Less than three weeks after launching their maiden album, they kicked off this concert with a stylish two-man acoustic set, Ben Jurisich and the band’s founder plucking guitar strings in eye-and-ear-catching fashion."
